About me

In secondary school our geography teacher asked everyone what they wanted to become. Doctor. Lawyer. Engineer. When it got to me, I said "Scientific Explorer." Everyone looked bewildered, because nobody knew what I meant. Neither did I. I just knew I wanted a life where I could keep asking questions and occasionally discover something useful.

Today I work as a full-stack developer and AI engineer. I am the founder of Programmify, a platform I started to give students and early-career builders the practical, hands-on experience I wished I had when I was starting out.

How I work

I do not usually start with an idea. I start with something that will not leave me alone: why does every AI product assume perfect internet? Why do payments feel different depending on where you are? Why do talented people struggle to present themselves well? I sit with the question, then build something to test what I think.

That last question became FastCV. I later used it on myself to win a full scholarship into the MS in AI Engineering at Quantic, Class of 2027, and wrote about it here: I built a resume tool. Then I used it to get into grad school.

Teaching changed how I build. It forced me to slow down, explain ideas clearly, and notice where people actually get stuck. Building and teaching turned out to be the same muscle: reducing the distance between confusion and understanding.

What I am interested in

Applied AI and model infrastructure, agentic engineering, local-first and offline software, developer tools, and products that still work outside ideal conditions. My roots are in Africa, and a lot of my work comes from paying attention to the gaps that get ignored there.

Frameworks change and models improve every week. What stays interesting are the problems people still have not solved.
